Kris “Chili Dog” Frick Public Benefit Corporation Hosts Casino Night
Tustin, California - Saturday, June 9 ♥ 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
TUSTIN, CA, (May 25, 2007) – The Kris “Chili Dog” Frick Public Benefit Corporation
will host a casino night titled, “Dog’s Night Out” on Saturday, June 9 from 6:30
p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Joe’s Garage-Auto Museum in Tustin. Partakers will enjoy the
evening’s casino games, cocktails, dinner and silent action. Proceeds will help
increase dune rider safety awareness and enhance medical services in Glamis Dunes,
California.
The Kris “Chili Dog” Frick Public Benefit Corporation is a non profit organization
developed in memory of avid dune rider, Kris “Chili Dog” Frick. The organization
seeks public support to fulfill its mission of brining safety to visitors of the
Glamis Dunes.
“Glamis is an experience for family and friends to camp, have bonfires under the
desert sky, share meals and ride the dunes,” said organization president Steve Sindelar.
“When Kris died, we learned the hard way about the limited availability of effective
and timely emergency medical services.”
Every year over 756 riders are hurt and 14 riders die due to lack of safety education
and proper medical emergency services. Many of the medical emergencies could have
been quickly handled with simple first-aide however; EMS personnel are stationed
over 40 minutes away in El Centro. The Kris “Chili Dog” Frick Public Benefit Corporation
has 4 goals to eradicate the problem. The organization intends to extend the hours
of the on-call EMS personnel at the Dunes, provide a climate controlled triage for
the EMS personnel while on call, collaborate with other local emergency response
units to expand shifts and coverage, and promote rider-safety through education.
