First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone for their support and donations. Our goal is to support the services we all need at the Glamis Dunes, California. The net proceeds of all the fund raising activities will go to the establishment and continuing maintenance and support of these critical facilities. Some of the critical items include a larger EMS area, vehicles for dune access, and a Driver Training program.
KCDF will be generating funds through 3 separate fund raising activities beginning with two annual fund raisers. The first will be a Dinner-auction planned for June 9, 2007 at Joe’s Garage in Santa Ana, California. The next event will be a Charity golf tournament scheduled for Fall 2007. The third fund raising activity includes the sale of licensed Kris “Chili Dog” Frick sand sport clothing and accessories. Corporate and private sponsorships including cash contributions and donated goods and services will constitute the third leg of our fund raising activities.
We want provide support for the EMS personnel servicing Glamis. We are discussing a location at the Dunes for an EMS facility which will give the EMS personnel a facility to use as a base when on duty at Glamis. This facility will also have a secured storage facility to house the ambulance and gear, as well as 2 rescue vehicles, which will make this a center for first response at the Dunes.

  • Talking with families at Glamis about our Public Benefit Corp.
  • We have passed out 2000 coolie cups at various events
  • We have sent over 8500 fliers about our organization
  • Received over 2200 hits on our website
  • We have collected over $100,000 thus far

We have purchased the EMS trailer and are ready to start outfitting it. We are currently waiting on specifications from the El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC). The new trailer will be located on Gecko Road.

Construction of new emergency equipment storage facility is expected to be completed by September 15, 2007

Two new 4x4 Ford trucks have been ordered and should be received by September 1, 2007. The new truck will be dressed with new graphics, displaying the KCDF corporation logo and the names of our sponsors.

Driver Training Program – Ensure all drivers for dune access vehicles are trained complete January 15, 2008
